Yesterday

Noogi is holding steady in the green and low blues.

Here he is in his favourite spot this afternoon - just outside the window, on one of the platforms I had built which serve as resting places and steps down into the garden. Cold and rainy here today.

We have birds and squirrels . Although I don't often see the latter in my little garden in the city.
Noogi is not much of a hunter, but loves to sniff the air and watch the world go by.

In terms of birds, I get sparrows and doves and white-eyes mostly. And occasionally a hadeda (pronounces hard-dee-dar). These are huge and noisy, a type of ibis, with a loud call that we are all used to but tends to alarm visitors. When Pharrell Williams visited here a few years ago he put a video out on social media about the sound that went so viral it even made our morning news !

A previous cat of mine thought he could catch one of these, even though the bird is about the size of a cat.
Noogi is much more sensible and pretends not to see them
