No updates on the Libre front--he's been overgrooming a little on the shaved spot that had the glue and it's a bit irritated, which has made him very touchy about us touching his back... which has made giving shots harder. Figured it was better to let him relax and heal. And actually in the mean time we've had a really good run of tests! I guess we can only be good at one thing at a time, either shots or tests. I dream of a day where we can do both without any fuss, lol.

Today would have been one week on 0.75u but with the furshots in the past couple days we're going to wait a couple more to make sure the depot is stocked up before we do a curve again.

You have no idea how much I can relate to that. 😩 I think a lot of people don't understand the really sensitive kitties and the factor of "it's either I do this and he doesn't trust me enough to give him injections anymore, or I do it this way and can still give him insulin."

A great example: Xander once tried to jump on my lap and bonked his head on my desk on his way up. Freaked him out so much that he didn't get on my lap again for another SEVEN YEARS. It can go so far beyond what people think.

Anyway. 😅 Glad you're seeing some blues despite the possible furshots! Hopefully those will become fewer and further between and things will settle down. :)

This literally made me laugh out loud and it's so real. He hasn't used his giant cat tree in like 6 months because he happened to barf, unrelatedly, while sleeping on it. Then there's the cases where they maybe should have learned a lesson and didn't (how many times will we almost step on him because he's sitting silently behind our feet at the kitchen counter).

[sigh] Oh, our special babies. 😅 To be fair, I suppose, I had a stomach bug kick in shortly after having some honey roasted peanuts over a decade ago and even though they were unrelated I can't eat those anymore. 😂

You may want to try a little coconut oil on the area if any glue residue (the solid stuff). It melts when you touch it. You can gently rub it on his skin. It’s healing. And if he likes it no harm.
I actually use it to remove Ivy’s Libre, mixed with a little baby oil. (No harsh chemicals).

I was thinking we needed something like that, thanks for the confirmation! Need to pick some up today when I'm out of the house. We also put him back in "shirt jail" to keep him away from the area.
