Where did our greens go?
I am now feeding him at every 4 hours.
I slid up to 8u this AM because I got tired of the quarter doses but I then realized we are also due for an increase so I will start with 8.25u tonight.

Still waiting on acro and IAA tests to come back. How long does that take?

Also anyone have tips on testing ketones with the Litter Robot 2? The bowl is so deep and there's not much room so it's hard for me to get in there to catch urine while he's in there. It is ok to stick the test strip in the puddle once he's out?

Where did our greens go?

Either he's still bouncing, or something is causing insulin resistance. The nature of both acro and IAA is that resistance can grow over time, and also fade away.

How long has it been? Back in the day, when MSU used an older radioimmunoassay, they only ran the IGF-1 test once a week, starting on Wednesdays for a couple days. Meaning you had to get the blood there by Tuesday or wait another week. Guess who that happened to - sigh! Now they use a chemical based assay, which is easier/less complicated so I think they run the test twice a week. They advertise turnaround time of 3-5 days. Add onto that shipping time to get the blood there. Results I think are just emailed to the vet. IAA tests they say 2-7 days for testing to be complete. Worth calling the vet and see if they sent the blood directly, or through Idexx - who add a substantial fee and at lost at least one person's sample.

Regarding the pee, if there's a puddle you can test it once he's out. Some people with regular litter boxes use non absorbant material, like washed lentils or aquarium gravel and just test the pubble.

The blood draw was Monday the 16th so today is 2 weeks... I will call and ask for an update.
