6/4 Esse AMPS 342

Yesterday's thread!

Feeling accomplished, we did the entire AM routine (make breakfast plate, make shot, wrangle cat, test, shoot) in under 10 minutes! He was feeling super hungry this morning which boosts his cooperativity, lol. But a win is a win!

Fun Esse fact: When we're in the kitchen but NOT making him the food he thinks he deserves, he jumps on the kitchen table and licks whatever's in the fruit bowl to get our attention. Today it was a bag of onions.

Glad all went so well today! 😻

Just an FYI, onions are very dangerous to cats!

Yes, thankfully he's only licking the plastic mesh bag and (I guess) the papery outside skin, no biting or actual ingestion. And purely for attention, not because he actually wants to eat them--you know the thing where they do something bad and then look at you, expecting a response. We don't really want him licking our food anyway (have you ever seen what a banana looks like after it's been scraped with sandpaper tongue?) so we always grab him when he does it.

Leroy has sampled persimmons and plums before 🤦‍♀️ Of course, he knocked them to the floor too and pushed them around 🤦‍♀️ But he leaves bananas alone 🤷‍♀️ Crazy cats 🤪

Big win on the speedy routine this morning!! Sounds like you’re really getting the hang of it 😊

Silly Esse with the onions! Just picturing the lick and side glance is hilarious 😂
