6/4 - PHOEBE - AMPS - 70. One more day to dose reduction.
Phoebe is doing well. I am introducing a little raw chicken and turkey.....we will see. she is pretty staunch in her likes and dislikes.
Down to 2.75unit today. She is surfing well with the 3 and got a little close past few days.
Last night her number came up well by itself _ she did have a couple of bites of raw rabbit but her appetite isn't as voracious as it use to be.
Usually the only lc I can get her to eat when she gets too low is human tuna --with caution - or a mc that I have for the others. 12carbs.
It is hard to keep all on lc raw with 4 cats. We have done away with the lc Mature Zero - even as a low carb as Phoebe hangs on to it too much and her sugars stay up.
I am leaving tonight and back tomorrow pm. I will get her sugar as I walk in the door. Grandchildren coming. She likes them.
Will be doing a few more sugars a day as we trend downward and surf the wave. data collection. it is good - until she gets snarky -
Phoebe was diagnosed in July 2022 with diabetes. she was off insulin by January 2023. She was diet controlled. But in March of 2025 relapsed due to a tooth problem. Now that all is resolved and her nemesis One-eye Jack has passed away, her numbers seem to be even more controlled and we are able to reduce -- am I imagining this?
Also is her diagnoses date July 2022 or March 2025? Is she considered "new" with the relapse or does my July 2022 date stand forever? I would like to think she will get off the insulin once again.
Any thoughts?
