7/4 Binx AMPS 169 - Dental Day

You’ll be fine in caring for him, Briana. I’ve had a lot of different experiences caring for very sick kitties, without any previous experience or guidance other than the vet’s notes, and I somehow made out just fine, and they did too, and you will too. But it can be overwhelming! Also, I’ve given Jude, Hazel, and my other previous kitties Convenia in the past, and they were all just fine. I didn’t know about the concerns with it until I heard them from this group. We’ll hope Binx will handle it well. Trust your gut with him, and pop on here or call the vet if you have any concerns.

Wow that sounds like such an anxious and stressful day. I'm glad he's home and that you have the weekend to recover and look after your sweet boy. I cannot even imagine what he's been through having so many teeth extracted. Hopefully the healing process goes well and he's back to normal in a few days. As much as the day of is stressful for us, noone talks about the recovery period. I found i was even more stressed then seeing Nestle all loopy and weird. And then not knowing how much pain he's in.
Hopefully that shot helps him and we're here if you need us.
Get some rest tonight. Sweet dreams.

Mary, that helps so much to hear. Thank you 🫂 Don't know what I would've done without this group, you're incredible for having dealt with so much. Your kitties are in the best hands! It does ease the stress of it all to hear you've had an okay experience - I know ECID so will still be keeping a close eye on Binx 🤗

Thanks, Karolina! 🤗🥰🐈‍⬛ You did so great when Nestle had his!

Such an anxious day, but made better by everyone here. 10 teeth is certainly a lot, but admittedly, I was preparing for worst case all of them going. You're right in that I don't have much of a picture of what this recovery period will look like - how will I know he's in pain is exactly it! The loopiness was a surprise, since I've never seen him like that. Hopefully with experience, we'll both get a bit more into the recovery routine. 🤞

we’ve opted for FortiFlora Pro (not over the counter).
Try it and see how it works. The pro version has two strains of bacteria instead of 1, plus psyllium husk powder. I don't know how many CFU. The Proviable has 7 strains of bacteria. The Renew Ultimate one I took to combat the Clindamycin pills had 12 types.

I'm glad to hear he's home and hungry and eating. All great signs.
