Carb %

I need to know the carb %. For FF Florentine medley with carrots & spinach in a silky broth, I used the carb calculator with the nutrients in Chewy.com, it gave me 1%. But I don’t believe that’s correct, I bought them by error instead of the light broth

I did checked the food chart myself but this flavor is not in the chart that’s why I am asking if anyone has another source to find the carbs, there is a big difference between Florentine in light Broth, from Primavera in a Silky Broth and Pates, if anyone can find out for me on the Medley White Chicken Primavera with carrots, spinach in a Silky Broth, carb % it will be awesome I bought 24 cans and when I opened the can I noticed the difference, the Medley Florentine White Meat in a light Broth is a white thick food, the Florentine in a silky Broth, looks chunky brown thick gravy like food, so I am concern to feed 1/2cn to Corky and endo up a very high BG. Our Food chart does not show this Medley Flavor, and Chewey.com, nutrient numbers in the calculator, shows me 1% carb for both dry and wet matter, so I am skittish before feeding it, if anyone has another source. please advice

This is the carb calculator we're using. It was developed by one of our group members who's also an Admin in the Feline CKD group.

I can’t get all of the nutrients by these that are on the can protein 10.0 - fiber 1.5. - moisture 82 - ash 1.3. And chewy where I normally get the results do not have this flavor😩

This is going our new site? Or are we getting FDF soon again? This one is kinda of different trying to get used to it like everything new

I thought it might be in this old FF chart I have (from the old FDMB) but it's not. It must be a newer-ish variety.
That’s the same food chart I’ve always calculated carbs and I like that Shriber calculator I think it’s called I always refer other members to much easier to calculate, Oh well I’ll see if I can return them, Publix is pretty stern on cat food returns, and they were $1.04 each can 24 of them, I will not chance giving it to Corky if I don’t know the carbs in it, thank you so much for the trouble I put you thru❤️

How much fat? Should be listed right after Protein.

Also, I can't find a Medley White Chicken Primavera with carrots, spinach in a Silky Broth. All the ones I find say "with tomatoes, carrots and spinach in a silky broth"

M.E. Carbs are 6%

The best gaige we can use when comparing foods is the Metabolized Energy percentage. It would be better if we knew the "As Fed" numbers, but they only give us the GA numbers so that's what I used.

That’s the one yes!! Ithe ingredient can does say the fat

Does not say the fat

I used the GA numbers listed on Chewy for that specific food in the one above.

If I use the GA numbers on Purina's website, I get 13% ME carbs

Sorry I can't give you a specific answer but since the values are listed differently on Chewy than on Purina, I'd just plan on using it as a Medium Carb food if you keep it.

Maybe call or email Purina and ask for the "As Fed" numbers

The calculator I used gives the M.E. values. I know the scheyder site and used to use it myself until Andrew put this one together

Can't say which numbers are real, the Chewy ones or the Purina ones but I'd probably trust the numbers listed on the Purina site (although they really should make sure the numbers are the same on any website!)

That’s an inaccurate calculator which uses guaranteed analysis. We don’t recommend using that in FDMB.
