Anything that is 100% meat with nothing else is best. There are many brands you can feed. Check the dog treat aisle for meat treats. Some freeze dried RAW patties are great for treats, just make sure there is no source of grain or sugar. Catnip and cat grass are great, too.

- WildSide Salmon
- Whole Life
- OnlyNaturalPet.com All Meat Bites
- Bravo Pet freeze dried treats
- Pure Bites - TIP: Most of the freeze dried treats for dogs are single ingredient and can be fed to a cat as well. The bag and treats are larger than the cat treats and only costs a few dollars more. The treats can be broken up into smaller pieces.
- Cat-Man-Doo freeze dried treats and bonito flakes - Tip: If your cat loves bonito flakes, buy a large bag of it at an Asian supermarket. Asians use the bonito (tuna) flakes to make soup, particularily Japanese miso soup. A huge bag will only cost a few dollars and will last a long time. Be sure to check the ingredient label on the bag to make sure that only bonito flakes are listed with no other ingredient such as a preservative or salt. Other brands of bonito (tuna) flakes are available in many pet stores.
- Grizzly Salmon Filet treats
- Vital Essentials Freeze Dried treats
- A list of healthy treats from another forum. Not all of the treats listed maybe suitable for diabetic cats so be sure to check the ingredients. (Some of the treats listed are no longer available and some of the items that people are recommending are not low carb, such at Temptations and Greenies.)
