Amps 246 Libre

Well yesterday was quite a wild ride around here. With a brand new sensor not working because (I believe) Ivy was in low numbers.

I’ve never had the sensor shut down for 9 hours before. Interestingly enough, the sensor started up again as it said it would after the time I had passed.

I think I had that happen one time a long time ago, but I didn’t wait nine hours. I decided to put a new Libre on her and started up right away.
This time I was curious to see what would happen and I was interested that it did start up again.
Of course her BG was in the 200s by the time the sensor started up again, so clearly she had bounced up from the Lows she had seen early in the day.
I did do an ear prick at dinner time yesterday before I gave insulin to make sure where she was and make sure she was safe.

Today she’s been in yellow and blues on the Libre, but I did take the reduction last night back to where she was before I gave the increase yesterday morning.

So we let the depot shake out and stabilize and see where she is in the next few days.

She’s napping now on a comfy chair in my bedroom.

Good luck with the reduction and hopefully she continues to surf steadily all night. No sleeping on the couch for mama.
So odd about Libre but I guess it's a good thing it "fixed" itself and came back on line.

Hopefully you're both having a nice caturday and you're enjoying your weekly dinner somewhere nice and yummy.

Well, she sure spent some lovely time at the beach today, despite all the sensor craziness. I hope she sees some lower numbers tonight (but not too low, Ivy!).

Thanks Karolina, hoping to catch up on sleep tonight. She had higher carbs for dinner, so a bit of a higher surf tonight while we went out.

The Libre episode isn’t totally unexpected. Just sucks when it occurs.
