I am so bad at consistent posting lately. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I've just been so busy and so tired (not getting enough sleep). Sorry, everyone. It's not a lack of interest/need, just a lack of physical and mental bandwidth.

Xander's BG has been creeping up but as I mentioned before, I haven't wanted to do a full increase until we have the Libre back in a more reliable spot. Since the half-step increase doesn't usually do much, I decided to go up by 0.125 u on Monday morning; it'd be some increase with basically no risk of limes when my readings might be unreliable.

Around 3 AM between Monday/Tuesday his Libre died so we replaced it in the morning. Had to wait for it to activate before I could give him his morning dose, hence why I'm working back from almost an hour late now.

I can't tell if the "crust" that I thought was a scab on his skin is actually scabbing or if it's just residue from the Animax stuck in his fur. Every day it's pulled a little further from his skin, but it's still stuck and I don't want to risk taking off a scab and starting over. So we couldn't put the Libre back in its usual spot, but I was able to put it much closer (right next to it, basically) so hopefully (🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻) it'll be a lot more reliable.

Still in the soft cone. I ordered a second one yesterday since this one's gotten gross and I really wanna wash it. The next one is the same thing but in orange so he'll look like a lil pumpkin, which is appropriate for my little Halloween spookybeast. 🎃

Gonna go try to catch up now. Hope everyone is doing well!! 💖🌺🌊🌞

Don't feel bad. I'm in the same boat as you. I feel overwhelmed at times and I feel bad when I don't leave a comment but I read a lot of posts every day. Between work, kitties and just living i find some days I'm also too tired to comment but I'm always here and I care as well. We're only human and we gotta take care of ourselves too.

Definitely looking forward to seeing some pumpkin photos hehe.

Take care and happy Wednesday
🙋🏻‍♀️🐾🤗🐈‍⬛🥰☀️🏄🏻

Must see pics of the little pumpkin! I've been struggling to keep up on here too, ebbs and flows. 🤗 Have a good day!

Can't wait to see his new pic!!🎃🎃🐈‍⬛
I'll definitely post some pics!! 😁🎃

Aww, never apologize for needing a break! You need to take care of you, or there's no one to take care of Xander! Hope he slides down safely and the new cone works out!

Agree with Karolina, we all get caregiver burnout and have other stuff going on. I'm on here every day, sometimes I just don't have the mental capacity to post or comment. I really hope the new Libre preforms with no problems and that Xander's skin continues to heal ❤️‍🩹.
Thank all of you so much for understanding! I'm glad it's not just me (though I don't wish the struggle on anyone else). It really is just like sometimes with FD and still having to do "normal life" stuff I can handle the FD part but maybe not the communication part.

My two cents worth: This forum needs to be for all members what they want it to be--what they NEED it to be, for them. No one should feel compelled to do anything over here, including posting and/or responding to everyone's post every day. Unless that's something you want the forum to be for you. Sometimes, the forum is needed daily, depending on how our babies are doing; sometimes it's not. I'm on here frequently because I have a strong interest in seeing how other cats with FD are doing--I learn a lot from that, but that's me. Now, I will say that if you don't post enough to satisfy my curiosity and concern (like, if you disappear), I will message you to make sure everything's okay  😽 So, don't take offense if I do that.

Poor Xander. He's got to wear that damned awful cone, and we're all just interested in seeing how cute he looks in it :ROFLMAO:

We all understand, Brianna 🫂
Wishing you very good luck with the new Libre! Paws crossed the new spot works well!!
Xander is such a good boy, sweet pumpkin 🎃

You’re doing a wonderful job taking such good care of that sweet boy. Take care of yourself, too. He needs his mama to feel well and be strong!
Sending lots of love your way 💕😻🐈‍⬛❤️‍🩹

I like your way of looking at it! I do really enjoy participating and keeping up with everyone (although sometimes even when I do read I don't always have the commenting energy part). And like you, I really like learning from everyone else's cats at the same time. That does make me feel a little better though; I think in a way I consider posting a part of his care, but like you said, it's not always needed.

I would never take offense from checking in!! I'd appreciate it! 🥰

lol He doesn't seem as bothered by the cone now as he had been, fortunately. He doesn't like it but at this point I think he's used to it.

You're the best, Staci! 🤗 So far it does seem to be working better. I was a little worried yesterday because we had a handful of "sensor error" periods, but nothing since then and the numbers seem to be making sense today, so yay. Just look at this comparison between a few days ago and today. It was jagged and awful like that for the whole 13 days! Drove me crazy. 🙄 So glad it's better now!!

Thank you for the kind words and support!! 🥺 I appreciate you! 🥰

Yeah agreed with everyone! Brianna you do an awesome job at keeping tabs on everyone’s kitties but make sure you take care of yourself. I feel bad lately because I haven’t had the time to do much outside of Bell’s daily post, and a lot of y’all are so so awesome checking up on Bell.

But when it comes down to it, this place is truly a community. One that understands each other’s stress points and supports its members because of that understanding. It isn’t transactional.

All that being said, if you don’t like Bell’s picture today, I’m never talking to you again :p

I totally understand the feeling! I'm really so glad it's not just me. I always feel like everyone else does such a good job lol But that's a great point - who else can understand how difficult this is and how much it takes out of us than... well, us?

It would be literally impossible for me not to like Bell's picture today. It's absolutely incredible. Anyone who disagrees is objectively wrong. 🤣

Awww, I’m so proud of you!! You’re doing sooo much for your boy 💕

I know the feeling of those jagged graphs, stress overload 😭🤬
I’m so glad you’re getting a more normal one now. Sigh of relief 🫶🫶🫶

🤣🤣 I think it's time for a wellness check on Jude... please provide proof he is being spoiled and living his best life. 😁
I'm just terrible with pictures (took me forever to upload these). And there is always the vacuum cleaner that's out and in view because of the cat hair from a million cats. See...here's Hazel with her teensy head resting on the vacuum hose 1751508101953.png.

Here's proof of life...Jude in his little condo tower...he's happy--he told me when I asked.1751508189757.png
