Please forgive me if I'm mixing my sugar kitties up but: Jude's prone to UTIs, right? And doesn't show symptoms aside from elevated BG? Is it possible he's just not feeling well?

Oh! Yes! I hadn't considered that. He has FIC, and his bg going up is typically the first indicator of a flare. That said, typically if he has a flare, though, it's a spike in his numbers, not just a bump, so that's why that issue hasn't registered for me. But I will definitely keep that in mind if his bg numbers continue to go up, and I appreciate you mentioning it. And, no, he doesn't typically show me any other symptoms. Very stoic. Since his FIC diagnosis, I've gaba on hand for the pain, but I haven't had a flare yet since I got the gaba. But I'm on the ready should the numbers climb.

Glad I remembered correctly!

Not that I want something to be "wrong," it's just nice to have answers. Maybe the rise is smaller because he's doing so well in general that he doesn't spike quite as high? Or maybe it's just starting? Hopefully it's just a weird day and nothing at all - just thinking out loud!

It could be a teensy bounce! He might have hit a low last night after I went to bed 🤷‍♀️ I also worry that I might have given him a FS 🫢 No evidence of that, but I've been changing his shooting locale like a mad-woman lately, and sometimes I really can't see that well...and I wonder and think to myself I hope that went in.

Well, it sounds like there are a lot of possible reasons (including some that are very temporary and not a big deal). Crossing my fingers that it's one of those! 🤞🏻

Like you said, they are barely blue. Just cause you didn’t see green doesn’t mean he didn’t see some. Hopefully just a little blip and he’ll be showing you some greens soon. Hope you both have a lovely evening. 🤗
