Started a new vial (cartridge really) this morning - it's the first one I've bought directly from a pharmacy instead of my (old) vet, so I'm a little nervous for some reason. I'm sure it'll be fine, but we've seen all our progress go away after a new vial before. Also, only learned recently that my (old) vet was charging me 3x the price for insulin!!! Ugh.

That's a nice PS start to the day.
I hope there are no issues with the new vial! And 3x the price!!!! That's insane (criminal?). I'm glad you've discovered a more affordable source. Wishing you and Binx a great day with a nice, safe surf.
 
All these low green preshots! Aaah! So exciting (but scary)!

3x the price?! That's insane! It's really sad how many vets it seems are predatory! I apparently got really lucky in that department. Amazing that so many are so awful that way. 😞

Thanks, Mary :) Getting more comfortable with the lower PS because he tends to spike between +1/+3, but still monitoring to make sure.
I have @Karolina & Nestle to thank for the discovery! She gave me a bunch of local tips and pharmacy insulin was one of them 😮‍💨

Based on Petey's numbers recently, I don't blame you at all for getting him going on that HC early! Also, luckily I still have the Libre so it's giving me some peace of mind - for now...

I'm glad you found a good one! It feels so icky having them take advantage like that.

I know - thank you for flagging that there are other options out there! I went to Shoppers and they charge $124.99 CAD per box (5 cartridges). I just decided to go somewhere close so I can get home as quickly as possible and put those babies in the fridge haha

Binx had quite a diving surf today! 5/14
Were those Libre numbers? Or your handheld?
If a handheld I hope you are taking a reduction at the next dose with those 30s numbers 🫣

He definitely went for a dive! I was stuck at work in a meeting when I saw him dropping on the Libre and once it was done, I ran home immediately. Those were handheld numbers, so we're definitely taking the reduction. I was then stuck in back-to-back meetings all afternoon and tried to end them early so I could at least get tests in. He's on the ups now, thank goodness!
 
Oh, my, Briana! Those are frighteningly low numbers today! 😬I can't imagine how scary that was for you seeing the numbers on the Libre while you were at work 🫣 I hope this new depot kicks in quickly on the dose reduction so that he can stay out of the limes (and I know you do too). Stay safe, Binx!
