I apologize for being more absent recently. Just been tired and busy I guess, but I don't like it!

Not a bad bounce, all things considered. Now lets see what he does with 2 units. 🤔

He tried to run from his morning injection for the first time since upping his gabapentin. He's acting the same way he did right before we had to up it. I'm really really hoping that it was a fluke. I crushed this morning's gaba while I was barely conscious and it's possible a little chunk popped and flew out of the bowl (I thought I heard it, but couldn't find anything), so he didn't get the full dose. Tonight he was a little better, but still jumpy. He also didn't finish the food the pill was crushed in tonight, so yet again not the full dose. Crossing my fingers, but it also takes him a long time to start trusting again after any slight "scare," so it probably won't be fun for a couple weeks.

Going to do my best to go catch up on all the condos! 💙
 
You can get gaba compounded into a liquid formula if that would be easier to give. Might be time to start giving him random treats to regain trust.

I think a combination of my vet's pharmacy not offering it and it being way more expensive for us were the main reasons we didn't do that, but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks! He's been fine with it since we got chicken-flavored ones (aside from yesterday). Unfortunately the vet also changed pharmacies (to another that only does tablets) and they're not longer flavored. We'll see how that goes once we run out of these ones.

Do you mean treats at random times of day? I do still give him a Churu during the injection, of course.

He's funny; he didn't leave even after I had to hold him down, he just went back to his Churu. So like he trusts me in general. But anytime I get near him in the injection way he's like "Nope."
