Leroy is back to normal - peeing and pooping on the pee pad covered litter mat and screaming 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ He's still on gabapentin but that doesn't seem to be working anymore. He tried to eat rice cakes this morning 🤦‍♀️ I had to give Crumbis a treat after her meds. Leroy got onto the counter and tried to eat the bag 🤦‍♀️ I don't see how appealing a plain rice cake is to a cat 🤔

So glad to hear Leroy is feeling much better!!! Best news, thanks for sharing the update.
Behave Leroy, no eating bags, please!

Does AlphaTrak read lower or higher than a Human meter? I was looking at the itemized invoice (🫣🫣) and saw that listed. Looks like he got injectable Zofran too and Trazadone in addition to gabapentin.

Thanks!

Leroy had watery diarrhea in the litter box 🙁 I was in the bathroom and he wanted to come in so I let him and heard the splatter. Too many meds upsetting his tummy? Diet change from the hydrolyzed food he was getting at the hospital back to normal food? He ate maybe 90% of his dinner and that was with a little FortiFlora. I opened a new bag of food just in case, an older batch he had no problem with before. He's usually screaming for a snack now but is currently napping on the bed. I thought I saw some flat ears but maybe that's me being paranoid right now. I have bupe in case he doesn't eat either of his snacks tonight. I hope he's not having a relapse 🫣

Poor guy, hopefully just his system detoxing. 🤗 Petey had diarrhea when he got home from his initial hospitalization loaded with drugs. Lasted 3 days, gave him proviable twice a day.

Hope he feels better soon and that's good he used the litter box!

AT is mostly, but not always higher. Generally higher in higher numbers, but we've had some side to side tests showing they are very close in lower numbers, sometimes AT a bit lower in lowest of lows.

Lots of reasons for diarrhea with the food changes and vet upset. Plus it's a sign of pancreatitis. It's a slog getting over it.

68 (AT) vs 50 (human) makes sense if the AT is typically higher than human meter. We have no way of knowing that they are the same number, but it's a number suggested by Jacquie Rand, so we go with it. And recommend people use a human meter.

I started him back on Visibiome last night. He got some Pro-Pectalin while at the hospital. It has sugar in in 😬

He's still napping and not wanting his usual snack. Hopefully he'll eat something later before I break out the bupe. He got 1/4 of a Cerenia hidden in a NV Raw Bite and I know that's in his tummy. I don't want to bring him back to the ER this weekend if he's not responding to all the meds I have on hand 🫣
