I see he dove to 57 at +3 tonight (still the higher depot at work). Did you feed HC then? And I think he already gets a snack at +1 or +2 in all cycles, right?

In the AM of 6/18, did you feed LC or HC at +1.5?

I fed HC today @ pm +3 (I just noted that on the ss). I'm not giving any more mc/hc food after the +4.5, because he's going up (+75). I think he'll be fine the remainder of this cycle.
Jude's a grazer, and he (almost always) self feeds LC in +1 and +2 cycles; he's pretty good at this.
I did leave HC on 6/18--an entire bowl full bc I had to go to work.

I was wondering if, the next time he drops low at +3 or later, you wanted to try giving less carbs than HC - either MC or even higher carb LC - especially if you will be staying up to get another test. It does seem like feeding HC, even at +3, might be affecting duration and leading to higher preshots. Maybe he is diving at onset and staying flat later on? That he might not need carbs later? Of course, you want to try this only in cycles where you can monitor.

Great! I also wondered if it makes sense to get a test at +1.5 and feed accordingly. Feeding carbs at +1.5 (if required, rather than at +3), might help reduce the diving and also affect duration less.

Sorry - one more SS/housekeeping question - did you feed LC or HC at PM+2 on 16/5?

Yes, I can try this. If he is below 60, I typically go for the HC, but I could try MC.

I will try to get more +1 and +2 tests, especially at night.

Please clarify the date. Are you meaning 5/16?

Oops, sorry! I meant 6/15.
(In India we use the dd/mm/yyyy nomenclature for dates. So I have to retrain my brain to read mm/dd/yyyy here!)
No worries. I’m sure I would have let Jude self feed on that date, as is his typical habit. Jude being a grazer is both good and bad. Good in the sense that he self-monitors, and eats a little bit every so often; bad in the sense that I don’t monitor when he is eating. The food is in the bowl; he eats, and if the bowl is empty, I refill it.
