? 05/22 Nestle ♡ AMPS X Dental update and pain med Q's

Good meowning
We don't have AMPS this meowning as it's Nestle's dental day and I needed to drop him off at the clinic for 7:30 (he gets his shots at 10:30AM/PM). When I tested him this AM @+9 he was 92.
I elected to skip his morning shot as I figured he'd be still under or recovering. Needles to day Dr. Ted was not happy with my decision as "I didn't follow his advice".
I feel good about it and trust Nestle will bounce right back.
As for Nestle only 1 tooth needed to be extracted (phew). He's recovering in the incubator right now. I'm instructed to call the clinic at 13:00 to check if he's fully awake and see when he's ready to go home.
I'll update again once he's home.
Happy Thursday 😻❤️😻

Glad to hear the dental went well. Sending vines for a quick recovery. 🤗

You want to ask for pain meds and whether he needs an antibiotic (Clindamycin is the go-to antibiotic for dental issues).
ETA: I see Wendy already suggested this in a previous condo! :-)

Thanks Bhooma. We'll accept all the healing vines right meow.
And yes he'll be coming home with antibiotics and pain meds as well 🙏❤️😻

Better safe than sorry on dosing! One dental Neko was flirting with a reduction so I just gave her a token 0.1 unit dose. Let's just say that wasn't my sweet acro's typical dose. She still got down to 76 on their AT, a little close for my comfort. Remember, you know Nestle better than your former vet does.

I'm happy to hear it was only one extraction. I hope he's home soon.

UPDATE
Nestle is finally home. They kept him longer cause he was very slow to wake up. He eneded up loosing 2 teeth today. They needed to pull the lower canine and the incisor right beside it was an innocent bystander as it became loose after they pulled the canine.
He's still very out of it but as soon as we got home he went straight to his food bowl. He used the litter box right after as well (he did both).
As loopy as he is he's so darn cute.
I tested right after we got home and he was at 144.

So glad he’s home with you now. I’m sure he will be sleepy for a while.
Wishing you all a calm night. You could all use a good rest.
Sending healing vines to sweet Nestle 🐈😻
