I'm beginning to give Jude some medication and supplements to treat his FIC. Some of these will go into his food (the supplements). He and Hazel each have a bowl, but they eat out of both bowls, and both are grazers. Since I need Jude to get all of his medicine and not share it with Hazel, I'm thinking that I need a little something treat-ish to mix his supplements into before I put his food bowl down. Last night I gave him a tsp of 8% Weruva Lamburgini before his regular LC meal with the supplements mixed in, and he ate most of that; this morning he ate 1/2 of it. It's probably not as exciting to him as, perhaps, something else might be. Does anyone have suggestions for LC treat-ish options that I can try?

Are his supplements liquid, powder, or pills? Format would dictate how to disguise them. Depending on the taste of the supplement, I've had luck with Churu. Even with a liquid supplement not so tasty, I've been doing a few offerings of Churu, followed by syringe of supplement, followed immediately by Churu again. It makes the medicine go down, in the most delightful way. 🎶. Icky tasting meds need to go in gel caps.

The supplements are liquid and powder.

Fortunately, the medicines are transdermal.

Is Churu not HC?? I thought it was. Anyway, for some reason, Jude's not a big fan of Churus.

I've also made home made "Churu", basically meat cooked in stock and blended into a mousse like texture. Or you can see if you can get some all meat baby food, some cats go nuts for that.

Hi Mary. Tiki stix are low carb. Salmon and chicken/shrimp have 3-4% carbs, other flavors have none. Minner likes them. No tapioca starch but have xanthan gum, which is actually thought to be good for diabetics, but have to watch out for digestive system as with any fiber. I was an idiot and overused them . I plan to re-introduce to Minner assuming we get her well regulated again.
