So cool to see the rats! It's amazing that they get along well, Leroy looks puzzled, though. Maybe wondering what they are going to do next?
No cat here, but it's a very musical weekend, like everyday actually. My son has a viola recital and he needs to send video recordings for trumpet and viola auditions. So lots of practicing going around, plus my daughter who is home from college with her violin. I love it.

I was chatting with my BF the other day about what this dynamic might do to their psyche -would it cause constant stress on an unconscious level?

I know you mentioned the magic dog and I was curious is the rats get put in another room when magic dog visits?
 
Magic dog is too short to see into the rat cage so to him, the rats don't exist 😂 The rats don't seem to care for magic dog. I have a double Critter Nation rat cage which is on wheels so technically it can be rolled around but I just leave it in the living area since I don't have anywhere else to put it.

The rats aren't stressed out by the cats.

Leroy's not quite sure what to make of the rats 😂 Here he is with Howie:
