Well, now I’m back to feeding frenzy. Last night big return to green. Yay — it’s great! Boo — it’s anxiety and frequent testing and forcing food on her. With this morning’s 78 pre-shot, I tweaked her down to 6.125. I am thinking she got big inflammation in colon from me over feeding xanthan gum, had the illness over course of week, now settled down and I assume her insulin needs will settle back to what they were … 5.75 range. In fact, the whole reason she was getting so much xanthan gum was b/c I was fighting low numbers with tiki stix treats.
I also shot her on side / behind shoulder blade area last night. I’ve been shooting mainly hips for over a month. I think absorption is a real factor and it seems like her body tires out over time such that moving injection to a different area then results in stronger response. I have wondered if this behavior is IAA related. Do kitties with higher antibodies somehow develop localized absorption resistance, such that rotation becomes necessary to counteract. Idk — ecid, that’s me trying to map my experience to an explanation.
Hoping for calm goldilocks weekend, not too high, not too low, something just right!
