Hello! I just got a message from @Staci & Ivy about this temporary site. Thank you Staci!
Shooter is doing well. The amlodipine twice a day seems to be working well. He is taking 2.5mg pred every other day and is due for his Solensia injection next week. His numbers have been all over the board lately but it could be good related as Purina is now telling me COMPLETELY different carb %’s on all the fancy feasts. I’m having them send me all the nutrient profiles on ALL the fancy feast line.

I had a hip replacement Tuesday, 5/6, but I’m going really well. Even went back to work Wednesday - Saturday for a few hours.

Hope all the fur babies have been good these last several weeks!

Hi Heather, I’m so glad you got my message and came over here. We’ve missed you and Shooter. 💖
Glad you’re both doing well. And I hope your recovery is quick and easy! 🙏

I’m very curious about what you learn about the fancy feast carbs. I noticed back in the Fall that things were off from the chart that we all use that lists the carb percentages.
I know they used to say the gravy lovers beef was 20% and I was definitely not getting The boost that I used to see from that product if I used it with Ivy when I was really trying to pull her up.

I think we concluded it’s more of a medium carb instead of a high carb now.
Keep us posted what you find from Purina please.

Wishing you both a great weekend 😻🐈😻

Same! I couldn’t figure out why he wasn’t getting a boost with a higher carb either and then because of feeding him so much and bouncing, he would go high! The lady on the phone told me the gravy lovers chicken feast & beef feast are 3.5%! I was floored! So not the 15% & 20% that it says on the list. And she said the Gravy Lovers chicken feast pate is only 1.1%! She also said the classic chicken feast pate is only 1% not 3% listed in our list. I’m not sure I believe any of it though because on our list, it shows salmon, salmon, shrimp, cod, sole, shrimp to be 1% and I would think those being seafood would be less, but who knows. I’ll let you know when I get all of the information.

Yeah, not good when you think you know what your tools are “supposed” to do but wonder why (and for me it was always in the middle of the night) she wasn’t boosting at all.
Obviously, they changed their formulation from the time with those lists were compiled.
I’m sorry you had the same experience that I did, I’m sure we are not alone 😫

Hi Heather! Welcome over! Glad you've found us.
Glad to hear Shooter is doing well.
Very interesting news about the FF. I'll be glad to hear what you learn.
Glad also to hear you're doing well following your hip replacement--I know those recoveries can be challenging.

Hello Heather, welcome over here to you and Shooter. You should be able to copy your signature over from FDMB and just paste it in to this one.

Hello! I don't feel like we've met over on the other forum, but nevertheless I'm glad to see someone else made their way here!

I'm be super interested to see what all you may hear about the Fancy Feast too! Like Staci said, it's really hard to know what to do to help if your "tools" aren't what they claim to be. I literally just got a 12 pack of the Fancy Feast Medleys Primavera to have some of the higher end MC (to HC) and the titles are all iffy with the chart and it's so confusing. I've been using the Grilled Chicken Feast in Gravy that's supposedly 12% and my big guns are the Beef Feast in Gravy that was (as you mentioned) supposed to be 20%. 😬 It sure would be nice if they just listed this info on the can or at the very least on their site. Feels like trying to use a Magic 8 ball to find basic nutrition info. 🙄
