all the kitties emptied their bowls over night.
I think I need to increase their evening and maybe morning food abit.
Snickers even ate so fast he threw up. - then he wanted more- so I gave him more and he kept it down.
Phoebe a little hissy this am for sugar check. her ears are always cold in the am. I have to warm them with the little rice sock I made and use a bit of vaseline to get her sample.

Any tricks from others they do to get that little drop of blood more easily?
I have my spring loaded lancet set at 1.5 to 2 to get the drop.

I do almost the same as you! Lancet at 2 (I use 30G but I think most use 28G) and a warm sock - Binx's ears are also so cold in the morning. Usually this does the trick for us, but sometimes it's not enough.
 
I hand poked and didn't use the lancet so can't help with that part of it. I used an old film canister container (pill bottle works too) with hot/warm water in it, instead of the sock, but always needed to do the same otherwise. Are you "milking" the ears? Put your finger on the edge like a dam below the ear poke site and stroke down towards it.
 
I also hand poke--the lancing device's click startles Jude. The closer to the ear's edge, the less painful it seems to him--and I can control that closeness much better when I hand poke.

Also designed for pain-free testing is the One Touch Delica Plus, but I ordered the 33 gauge, and it was just too fine. They do make a larger gauge in this lancet, though.

And never underestimate the power of a little yummy snack to help them forget the pain.
