5/7 Binx AMPS 106

Last post

We'll happily take the blue AMPS this morning, after yet another lime last night. The spreadsheet might look a bit weird - I'm not coloring any numbers that are only from the Libre, since they're so different than the FS Lite. After he came into the green last night, we started tracking his curve through the Libre - figure I should take advantage of having it on him. If I had any questions about where he was going, I took a manual reading with the FS Lite to confirm. If this is too confusing for everyone - let me know and I'll adjust.

What I think I'm now realizing, especially when I look back at the curves from the Libre, is during his AM cycles he tends to go down further towards +9 - PMPS. Tomorrow, I may try introducing a snack later in the cycle. For today, we'll take a reduction.

Hope everyone has a calm day 😸

It's interesting to me that it seems like for you, the Libre reads higher than the Freestyle Lite. From what I've seen from others, usually the Libre reads much lower than the manual (though maybe in this case it's different because they're both Abbott, instead of the manual reader being something else).

Congratulations on the reduction! I look forward to seeing how he does with that (and possibly a later cycle snack!)

Hi Briana, congratulations on the reduction! I hope Binx has a safe and calm day. Blue is a relief after limes for sure!

When I get very low numbers on the Libre, my handheld meter is usually higher. (Plus as they say the Libre lags behind around 15 minutes, so it's never really neck and neck).
Sometimes my Libre reads LO, which is under 40 on the Libre, and I have fed her, so I am waiting for a jump up....and the handheld reads over 100 (so probably the carbs have kicked in and register correctly on the handheld at the moment I took the blood test, but in 15 minutes will show higher on the Libre).

Somewhat of a science experiment....but always trying to play it safe!

Have a great day!! 😻 😻

Thanks, Brianna :) Yea, very strange! I wonder what does it too - when I previously used the AlphaTrak and occasionally the Libre, the numbers read pretty similar. So it almost reads like a pet specific meter for Binx 🤔

Thanks, Staci 😸😸

I agree with you - always better to be safe because those lows are much scarier than a high! And even if they can be delayed or maybe lower than actual numbers, safer not to assume. We haven't seen any "LO"'s yet (anti-jinx) - I'm guessing those are pretty stressful moments.
