Late post today. Rainy and not very nice day here today. Day 2 of our new Libre sensor. Been kind of glitchy and keeps disconnecting. Not sure what up with that.
Her numbers are kind of what I would, so not worrying me too much.
I did sleep on the couch last night in case the sensor alarms would be going off all night. But that actually didn’t happen. So I slept, just not the most comfortably. Oh well.

Gave a nail trim and spicy Ivy either bit or scratched me. I got my blood on her white fur.

When DH saw the blood on her leg, he thought it was hers and he thought I injured her during her manicure.
Lol, nope, just my blood 😳
We both survived the ordeal and she’s snoozing in my room.

Hope everyone is having a very calm, boring weekend 😻💕🐈‍⬛🐈🌊

Hi Staci, did your DH get nervous when he saw the blood ? She sure is a feisty one, sorry she got you , but how can you get mad at her , she's too cute 😂 I saw the pic you posted of Ivy when she was a kitten and had her first bath, she was so adorable

The weather is crappy here also.
I hope Ivy surf's safely tonight. Hugs 🤗 🤗 🤗

DH was more worried they I injured Ivy (but nope she got me instead). Naughty kitty.
You’re right, I can’t get mad at her. She’s just too adorable, although some days she does test my patience.
Luckily, we were both fine so it was no big deal.

I figured you would be having crappy weather too. Our whole region is having lousy weather. Another weekend, more rain.
Hope all is well with you, Diane, we’ve missed seeing you.
Ivy sends you a big smooch 😘
💕😻🥰

Aww, I'm sorry she got you! I know you say you're used to her spiciness but it makes me so sad to picture her scratching the person who works so tirelessly to take care of her! (Not that she understands that, but y'know what I mean 😅)

I hope you're able to get some actual bed sleep tonight, Staci! 💙

So DH was more worried about Ivy Lol, You came in second place 😂. Aren't you just sick and tired of all this rain . I know I haven't been on here like I used to and I feel bad about it .
Been getting injections in my lower back. Always had back problems since 2016

I had facet injections last year and they just wore off about 3 months ago. So this time after the second round of the back injections after that my doctor will do radio frequency ablation, they burn the nerves to block the pain. They can last for many years . They will grow back but they can do it again after 6 months if needed. Waiting for them to call me to set up the second round
. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks. After that will get the ablation.
Hopefully after that it won't be too long after the second round of the diagnostic injections.
I want my back taken care of before the hip replacement

Well I am definitely having the hip replacement on Aug 15 th. Not looking forward to that.
I'll stay overnight , more if needed.
He said it would take about 2 hours.
Since I'm home alone I'm re thinking about going to an inpatient rehabilitation place for Physical therapy just for about 3 days or so if they approve it.
They just better give me some good pain meds lol
Using the walker is going to make me feel like I'm 90 😂. Already got the chair to put in the bathtub and the thing you put on top of the toilet to raise the seat. Boy do I feel old !
I've been really depressed about Ashley, would you believe it will be 2 years that she's gone.
I can't. Been doing a lot of crying. Plus it's Father's Day tomorrow, you know he passed away 1 month after Ashley.
I'll go by my sister's tomorrow .
Promise to talk to you soon
Happy Father's Day to your DH
I'll take Ivy's smooches any time 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 💕

Thanks, Brianna. I appreciate your sweet caring 😘
I agree about Ivy’s catitude. But she’s always been like this. So I have to just accept it and not take it personally.
I think she’s scared of being handled and just doesn’t like it. It’s why I can’t manually test her multiple times a day on a regular basis.
And why I use the Libre sensor to monitor her.
I could see early on in our diabetes journey, if I had to poke her many times a day, giving her the insulin shot would become a problem and I knew that that was critical.
Since she absolutely needs to have insulin if she wouldn’t let me touch her to give her the insulin then that was worse than me using a Libre. So that’s what led to me making the decision that I had to use a Libre over trying to manhandle her, which is sort of what I have to do when I have to poke her ear.
She’s a fighter, she fights back, that’s just what she does, sometimes even when I am even cutting her nails, which I do about every two weeks.
Been doing it her whole life and at 14 years old she’s still not used to it.
She’s got her own attitude and her own ideas. She’s very independent and strong willed.

Anyhow, all that said she still is very loving and will climb on top of me and knead and purr, so I know she loves me and appreciates me.

I guess you just have to know your own cat and accept them for who they are.

Awww Diane, we are sending you lots of love. I know this is an especially hard time of year for you. I know how hard it is to miss the most important people in our lives that are gone.
I can only imagine how much you miss Ashley and your dad 🙏🫂❤️‍🩹

And especially when you’re going through a lot on your own with all of the physical stuff. It sure would be nice to have them here with you for support.
I’m so glad you have your sister who is close by, and a big support to you.

I’m glad to hear you are getting the problems taken care of and hopefully a few months from now, when all these things have been handled, you will feel a lot better.
I know it’s a lot to go through and I think you’re smart to do a physical rehab for a few days.

Let them give you the support that you need instead of trying to manage on your own.
They’re professionals and they do it all the time, that’s why they have these programs and facilities. Your recovery will probably be easier if you are off to a really strong start.

We are sending you lots of love and positive wishes for an easy time going through all of these procedures.
Keep me posted on what’s happening ❤️‍🩹

And thanks for checking in on u,s as always, we appreciate the love 😻❤️‍🩹🐈‍⬛😘💕🫂

Absolutely! She's so lucky to have a Mom who accepts her and loves her for who she is - and clearly she knows it and loves you too! 🥹💜
