I just read through your condos from the previous days, and it’s so weird because I also just bought a blood ketone meter last week, but I’ve been too worried to try it out for the exact reason you’re experiencing. I know if I pull a reading on that I’ll freak the heck out, and I have more than enough to worry about right now 😂

But anyway I just wanted to say Esse’s Stank Toof made me laugh so hard my eyes started watering. As did your comment “I decided to ruin my own day” about using the ketone meter 😂😂😂

Hah!! Glad I could provide some anecdotal experience about using it. I'm really glad we had the urine strips to compare the meter to, otherwise we probably would have been running to the e-vet. And being able to search through the old FDMB for other folks' stories also helped talk me off the ledge. My boyfriend was definitely pretty sick of me asking "but are we sure the cat is okay??" like a million times a day.

I think it's nice data to have on hand but now that I know the range on the meter--at least the one we have, which is Keto Sens brand--can vary so wildly, I don't think I'd make a decision based on one result unless it was like super super high or he was also showing other symptoms.
