Rough morning today, running behind on everything and feeling stressed and a bit defeated. Increased to 2.25.

He's still wearing his flower power cone. πŸŒΊπŸ’œ His skin is sort of puffed up and crusted over (so I assume it's scabbed, though that's not really what it looks like) so I've stopped applying Animax. I'm hesitant to cover it again until the skin looks normal for fear of reintroducing bacteria/yeast/whatever or causing more irritation. Fortunately he doesn't seem as bothered by this cone as he was by the other. No idea if his numbers are related to stress or skin or needing an increase. Always too many variables to nail down. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Happy Sunday, everyone. 🌺

I’m sorry it’s been a rough few days, Brianna. Hopefully, things will get better in the next few days as Xander heals.
Good luck with the increase. I know you’ll be watching him closely and hopefully you’ll see his chart start to improve.
I’m so glad to hear he’s tolerating the cone well. He’s such a good boy πŸ’•
Lots of safe, surfing vines being sent to you 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱

Fingers crossed! I wanna go back to those nice numbers and no skin/sensor-related drama! lol

I'm really glad he's tolerating this cone well too! I know you have the same one - have you found that it does okay in the washer? He's gotten it really gross already (he's a slob when he eats) and trying to wipe it down hasn't helped much. I don't have a backup to take it off and wash it yet though.

Of course bought a second one (but remember Ivy was wearing a cone for at least two months)
I think I did wash it in the washer.

I used to take the cone off while I fed Ivy because I just supervised her the whole time and there was no way she could have gotten her face in the bowl with that Cone flopping over her head.
(Although, at night with the self feeder and her late night snacks that I was giving her at the time she did have the cone on and she managed OK.
Since meal times are longer and larger meal, I wanted to give her a break anyway since she was wearing it 24/7.
So maybe try giving him a break at meal times, I’m sure he will appreciate that as well πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

I'm so glad Xander is tolerating his cone. In fact, he looked pretty comfy in it in that pic of him snoozing. It's a small win, but a win nonetheless. I hope you get some more wins. I was looking at his SS and it certainly seems like the skin infection/cone line up with his little foray into the pinks. Maybe the 2u was slightly less than he needs and the inflammation kinda pushed him over? He was holding blues pretty well before this! Hopefully today's increase will give him the power he needs to fight back πŸ’ͺ

Yeah, I might've bought a second one if I thought he was gonna wear it for longer. I'm hoping not.

The only reason I don't give him a break then is because I worry that if I take it off and put it back on, he'll get re-bothered by it (or run off so I can't get it back on him) lol

I will definitely take any and all wins! Wish the both of us could get them more often. Thanks, Jess. πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

Aaaaaand limes. 😩

There was a big drop at +5, but the sensor has been going in and out of error mode so often and with such big swings when it comes back up that I didn't really think much of it. Then he didn't move much from then to +6. Half an hour later, limes. Already given 20% twice. It's hard to see what's happening because I keep losing my view for long periods. πŸ™„

When I say that he either stays high or dives, this is what I mean. I just increased after all that pink, and now we're immediately going to have to reduce again.

Aye aye aye. So frustrating when they dive right away.
Sorry the Libre was overwhelmed with the diving bgs!
Poor baby, he’s had a week!
Looks like he’s come up, he may give you a bounce tonight.
Sending you hugs, Brianna.
Good job keeping him safe as always πŸ˜»πŸ’•πŸ«‚

I'm sorry it's been rough the last few days. Hopefully you'll figure out soon what's affecting his numbers. In the meantime I hope your flower boy brings a smile to your face.
You're taking such great care of him.

It has certainly been quite a week. 😞 We'd like to get off the roller coaster now. I'm trying though, that's all I can do. And he always, always makes me smile! My best bud. πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€

I know you get it. What's with our two kids being RIGHT BETWEEN the 2 doses? And like the same doses, too! Maybe they're related. πŸ˜…

He's come up finally and yes, hoping for a bounce overnight for some rest for both of us.

Hugs!!! πŸ«‚πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

I know, Ivy seems to like in between doses. She’s very finicky and partial to making me work my calipers for her 😘
