6/26 Esse AMPS 153 Libre/155 Contour

Yesterday's thread!

Increasing to 2u today! Libre was being a little weird this morning so Esse got an AMPS meter test too. Once the data loaded on the app, I was kinda surprised to see how close together the numbers were! Just further validates the "the highs are overly high, the lows are overly low" thing.

Oh, editing to add--we did the blood ketone meter this morning too. 0.2!!! The lowest number we've seen on him yet!

Hope everyone's still hanging in there with the heatwave! We call it "melted cat season," hah.

Wow! What a run today (anti-jinx) 😻 And crazy how close the numbers are, right in that sweet spot.

Good luck with the increase!! Hope he has a calm evening cycle 💚💙

Good luck with the increase,Lauren and Esse.
I’ve never had the 2 meters be that close. That’s amazing to me 🥰
Good job testing him.

He looks so peaceful and happy all stretched out 🐈❤️😻💕
Safe surfing 🏄‍♂️ 🌊💕

@Briana + Binx @Staci & Ivy How do y'all deal with the "urgent low" alarms? His Libre phone was going off all day for values between 50-55 but every time we tested he was firmly in good numbers, and a lot of those lower values didn't even 'stick' on the graph. I was feeling so hopeful this morning when his AMPS was so close and so good but it was all downhill from there, Libre-wise! Or do you think today was a one-off/there's an issue with the sensor?

It’s definitely a struggle (for us) when they are under 50 and the alarm goes off all the time.
(I keep Ivy’s phone wrapped in 2 towels so I don’t have to listen to her phone plus mine beeping constantly)

I don’t think there was a problem with the sensor.

It’s good you can check to make sure he’s safe.
You’re doing great, it’s a challenge 🫂😻🥰🏄‍♂️

Good data gathering comparing the meter with the Libre today. What happened to tonight's dose?
We both had super stressful days at work and the cat is extremely fed up with being tested a bunch of times, so we shorted him a bit hoping we'd be able to (all 3 of us) get some rest. 2u might have been a good move overall but it absolutely ruined our day and I'm not sure we can function if the alarms go off every 15 minutes tonight like they did during the day.

I hope there is a way you can change the alarm level on the Libre. That does sound annoying.
I know, it's tough. We could just move the phone out of range or block to notifications, but then we'd have no idea if he was actually going low aside from waking up at 4am or something to test. It feels like being forced to choose between having no data, having garbage data, and losing sleep to torture the cat with more pokes he doesn't want.

Luckily, I hadn't experienced the LO alarms too much when Binx had the Libre on.... but definitely annoying and overly alarming when it happens. @Staci & Ivy suggestion of a towel might be good, if you know the numbers aren't as low as they're saying. Couldn't imagine that going off all night, can see why you took the one time reduction. Curious where he goes the next few cycles!

The towel “burrito” is my savior especially on the nights I sleep on the sofa as she’s in a low cycle.
One phone screaming is more than enough to listen to 😫
