I just had to take boy off bexacat it was not controlling his sugar. Not happy with this vet. Who isn't this vet Amy longer. Does anyone else have a bad experience with that medication. Had to put him on insulin going on day 5 in insulin and praying this will get him better!

Hi there! Can you tell us a little more about your boy? What insulin is he on now? Do you have any glucose readings you can share?

I believe @Sienne & Gabby (GA) has Bexacat knowledge. There is also a bunch of information on Bexacat in the sticky post here.
 
There can be a number of reasons that Bexacat isn't the best choice of insulin. If you are switching to an injection type of insulin, please make sure your vet prescribes either Lantus (generic/biosimilar is glargine) or Prozinc. Those are the two insulins that are recommended by the American Animal Hospital Association for the treatment of feline diabetes. We have lots of resources that can help you get started.
