Morning Laurie, looks like you might be in for another active cycle 😬
I see you went ahead with a little HC. I would likely have done the same, especially if I was exhausted and/or not able to monitor closely.
Another couple cycles on 2.5u and then you can see if he is ready for another reduction maybe?

Good morning. Yes I was nervous shooting that low cause he just hasn't been getting much bump from food in the daytime.. at night he does, it's weird. We'll see what he does today, but yes, if I shouldn't take back to back reductions I believe I would need to hold this for 4 cycles from when the lime appears.

I've been using soggy HC kibble cause that's all I have right now so my hope is getting that in early... by the time he digests it that will be when he needs it most.... I hope... we'll see.

Good luck, hope it does the trick. Sometimes it feels like we are mad scientists in the middle of a crazy experiment doesn't it?!

Whoa! Look at that PS! Way to go, Laurie! 🤗

It looks like you're doing a great job keeping him safe! Hopefully at some point in the cycle he'll just start surfing and you won't need to constantly mediate with the food. What a cool (if nerve-wracking) day for you both though!

Does that mean you'll get to reduce tonight (4 cycles)?

I'm not sure I understand the no-back to back reduction thing. Seems like I remember hearing someone explain the rationale, but I'm not sure. It seems to me that when they reach a point where carb manipulating is propping them up, that they should be allowed to earn a reduction no matter what. @Angela & Cleo, would you mind explaining this, please?

I don't mind at all. As I have come to understand it, its all about the Depot. We don't take back to back reductions when following TR because the action seen right after a reduction is being influenced by the higher depot. It takes about 4-6 cycles for the depot to stabilize on a dose and that's the opportunity to see what the dose can do. Often times, taking a back to back reduction results in having to go back up in dose after the depot stabilizes. I have often fed slightly higher carbs in the cycles after a reduction precisely to avoid a back to back reduction.
Now if at ANY time kitty goes under 40 on a human meter, its an immediate reduction. Hope that helps

Makes perfect sense. I'm going to copy this and put it in my FD file, so I won't forget. Thanks, Angela.

HI Laurie, I hope Petey is feeling well. He sure is showing you action these days since his dental!
I hope he surfs gently and the depot stabilizes soon!
Have a calm and boring day, Laurie 🐈😻
It was an active morning and I didn't want to give him the chance to dive, but he got several hours in the greens, but he's gonna get fat! Haha

Wow!! What an active morning - incredible job keeping him safe and congrats on shooting such a low number! That took guts!
Looks like he's coming back up again. I feel like once you find the right dose and work with the MC and HC foods more, he'll be holding steady.
Safe surfing tonight 🤗
