Amps 194 Libre

Day 3 on this insulin dose. She’s been doing ok so far 🤞
Spoke with her vet last night (their office doesn’t seem to have very good communication, since I scheduled a call for him for this morning because I told them I would be out to dinner last night, when I knew he would call).
Of course he called me at 9 o’clock, when I was at a restaurant…. of course he did 🙄

The good news is that her T4 did come down from over 7 to just over 4 (I haven’t yet gotten a copy of the labs to see the exact numbers. I’m waiting for them to send results to me this morning.)
So at least we know that the transdermal formulation is working, we just needed to hit a better dose 🙌
He did not want to increase the dose at this point, he wants to hold at the same at 5 mg dose, twice a day and recheck her in a few months, at the end of July.

He said her other lab values were all fine, I guess I’ll be the judge of that when I look at them🙄
So we will give her a little break in doing lab work.
I’m sure she will be absolutely thrilled not to have to go back in a month 🙏

That’s great news! At least initially - I’m sure you’ll dive deep into the labs when they come over. She is so cute gosh.

Glad her T4 has come down, that is great news! Hope she continues to do well and that the rest of her labs are great!

Morning Staci, that's what I wanted to hear about the T4 , makes me so so happy 😊. I'm glad you won't have to go back until 2 months. I wish I could jump through the phone and just kiss that adorable face of hers. I would pick her up and kiss her all over, but I know she wouldn't allow it 😂. I hope the rest of her labs come back good. 💕
 
WOOT! 🥳 I am sooo happy to see her T4 is down! But this, right here: "I guess I’ll be the judge of that when I look at them🙄" is TOOO real a struggle I feel you on. Old Man Otis just had bloodwork done and I'm seeing low triglycerides (combined with loss of weight and body mass) that I made a call about, and got an EMAIL reply (RUDE!) that says (no joke) "we don't worry about cats that have low triglycerides"....but when I go look it up online.....GRRR. Anyway, hoping the rest of her labs meet with your approval, and you have a safe, boring, happy Mother's Day.

EDIT: I see the new Board made us all update the kitty profile pics....I love them all!

Very glad to hear this dose is going well so far AND a positive T4 update! That is such great news. Hopefully your review of the labs bring you to the same conclusion as the vet (9pm call is crazy and interrupting dinner!!) - both you and Ivy deserve a nice break from the stress of the vet and labs. Hope you can rest easy 🤗

Awww thanks, Briana! I am so relieved we had some improvement!! I was so worried.

Wasn’t that crazy that he called so late? He’s done it before, so I wasn’t surprised, it’s just rare to be out and get a call.
That’s why I scheduled a call with him for this morning. Clearly they never told him about the schedule 🤷‍♀️

I know what you mean about those comments like you received about Otis and the triglyceride. It’s funny that you have the low triglycerides issue and Ivy has very high triglycerides when I do not fast her and they keep telling me “no big deal we’re not gonna worry about it”, so that’s interesting. We’re both getting that same feedback 🤷‍♀️

Grrrrr is right!! And thank you for celebrating a small win with us 😍
(it feels huge, even though the T4 still kind of sucks).
