Do you have a handheld meter you can use to test him as well?I will, thank you! He is hovering in low 50’s up to 71 right now. The Libre has a habit of reporting lows then recalibrating and changing the numbers to higher numbers.
Understood.I have several, but he’s a violent guy and won’t let me. That’s why we have a libre on him.
Thank you, I don’t know all of the forum finer points yet though I did read a lot of the stickies. He is happily sleeping away on my feet oblivious to my concern. Thanks for changing your title but could you use the one from the prefix menu. It stands out more as it's red and will catch more attention.
Also how's he doing now?
Thank you, I don’t know all of the forum finer points yet though I did read a lot of the stickies. He is happily sleeping away on my feet oblivious to my concern. The Libre is recalibrating and putting him back in the high 50’s. As Wendy said the Libre often reports lower than the real number. I’ve also read that under 50 it is reading higher than the actual number. I wish I could manual test to learn what those differences are specifically.
Yes, thank you. He is staying in the low 50’s. I fed him a teaspoon of medium carb food and hopefully he comes up a bit. I’m getting sleepy.Could you remove the 911 now? Sounds like your question is answered and he's in the safe zone, Feel free to put it back up if he goes down again and you need help. If he goes low, feed him a little food, with a bit of syrup or honey if he goes below 50 again. I've never heard that under 50 the LIbre is reading higher than the actual number.
Ok, thank you!Yes, reduce in the AM. His pancreas may be healing and he went under 50.
